Should I take GRE or GMAT if the programme says optional?

Check what optional means for that programme and cycle. A test may help demonstrate readiness in some contexts, while time spent on it may be better used addressing another weakness. Compare the likely value with your application timetable. Do not assume a strong score can replace mandatory prerequisites or that every test-optional school evaluates it identically.
