Compare any two institutions across academic strengths, student experience, accreditation context, career signal and environment. A final recommendation still depends on the programme and the person behind the decision.

Graduate route · duration-sensitive

The Graduate visa permits eligible graduates to remain after study. The Graduate route lasts two years for eligible applications on or before 31 December 2026, or 18 months for applications from 1 January 2027. Doctoral graduates receive three years. It cannot be extended; check current eligibility before acting.

Visa rules change and individual eligibility differs. This is general decision context, not immigration advice.

How the research works

Independent context, written for decisions.

QS overall scores are published ranking measures, retrieved from QS on 6 October 2026. The database follows the QS World University Rankings 2027 listing order and adds Quadrant's editorial subject lens, career signal and study-environment context. Campus descriptions explain the setting and questions to explore; they are editorial context, not student-survey results. Career signal reflects broad employer visibility, not the probability of receiving a job.

Accreditation must be checked for the named school and exact programme; a university listing is not a claim that every degree is accredited. Institution, programme, admissions and immigration information must be verified against official sources before applying. Inclusion does not imply partnership or endorsement.

Make it personal

A database can clarify the landscape. A trusted advisor can clarify your decision.

Bring us the student, the ambition and the real trade-offs. We will pressure-test the shortlist across fit, career return, affordability, risk and timing.

How much should university rankings influence my choice?

Use rankings to investigate reputation and institutional strengths, then test the particular programme. There is no universal percentage that rankings should contribute to your decision. Apply your non-negotiable conditions first, such as affordability and recognition. Among viable options, ask what the reputation changes for your intended career or research path.

How do I compare two university offers?

Put conditions, tuition after confirmed awards, full living costs and payment deadlines beside programme and career evidence. Record what remains unknown and when a deposit becomes non-refundable. The better offer is the stronger complete route for your situation. It may differ from the institution with the more familiar name.

What should I ask current students or alumni?

Ask about the actual teaching, project access, workload, career process and costs they experienced. Seek people with a similar starting profile and distinguish their cohort from the one you will enter. Ask what disappointed them and what they would choose differently. One conversation is a perspective to test against other evidence, not a forecast.
